The Kalanoro is a hominid cryptid that lives in the Congo and Madagascar. Locals commonly describe the cryptid to be a humanoid with quills, pointy and hooked fingers, long hair, and three backward toes. They hide themselves deep in the Madagascar’s rainforests. Eyewitnesses can be traced back to 1886. Travel Africa Magazine describes a man who saw the Kalanoro in a rice paddy behind his village. He describes the creature to be a little man and very hairy with long fingernails. Legends say that the Kalanoro can be lured by the smell of fried pistachio nuts but due to their backwards feet, they often escape traps by running away.
