Devil Monkey

The Devil monkey is a large baboon seen in the wooded areas of Flagstaff, Arizona. It was first reported in 1934 in South Pittsburgh, Tennessee, published in national newspapers.  Other encounters reputedly occurred in other states such as New Mexico, Utah, Colorado. Eyewitnesses described the Devil Monkey to be very fast, and jumps upwards of 20 feet. Accounts of the Devil Monkey is similar to a description of a kangaroo, although eyewitnesses describes the beast to be a primate.

An eyewitness claims her dog was acting strange when they were hiking through Mt. Elden forest trail. A group of ape-like creatures scurried through the rocks. She described to be up to 5 feet tall and very quick.
