The Chupacabra is a famous legendary cryptid known all over the world. It is said to derive from Puerto Rico when the first sighting was reported there in 1995. Accounts of what it looks like varies. Some eyewitnesses claim that the Chupacabra is the size of a baby bear with visible rows of spines reaching from the nect to the base of its tails. They feast on the blood of livestocks, particularly goats. Today, the Chupacabra is claimed to inhabit many parts of the world, particularly in Mexico, Maine, Chile, Russia, and Philippines.
Biologists and wildlife management officials discount the existence of the Chupacabra and view it as a contemporary legend.
